Vacant Position: Sr. Legal Officer

Ephindo Energy Private Limited (EEPL) is seeking a talented Sr. Legal Officer to join its Jakarta based operations.

Summary of Role :

Provide expert legal services and advice covering regulations, contracts and interpretations to one or more departments engaged in EEPl's PSC's.

The individual will have an in-depth understanding of Oil and Gas and Coal, Bed, Methane (CBM) practice in an operating and/or exploration company in Indonesia.

Specific duties

1. Being a member of Legal Team to work closely with Management to advise them on changes in prevailing Law and Regulation particularly on oil and gas laws and regulations, evaluate their impact to the company.
2. Needs to have the ability to give immediate answers from accumulated knowledge and experience
3. Prepare initial drafts of legal documents covering corporate legal, joint venture, tenders, bid contracts and gas sales, other legal documents, as well as having the ability to examine and review all legal documents and contracts for legal proficiency.
4. Negotiate and prepare drafts documentation for various company transaction
5. Provides legal advice internally and in administrative matters relating to personnel, property leases etc.

Job requirements

Qualified practicing lawyer / attorney with a good knowledge of legal skills developed through working in oil and gas industry in Indonesia.

1. Have a legal educational background and a thorough understanding of the regulations and laws preferably in oil and gas industry
2. Minimum five (5) years of experience.
3. Have advocate and PTK 007 certifications will be advantage
4. Fluency in spoken and written English.
5. Computer literate is a must
