CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER
Report s to : Engineering & Planning Production Manager Location : Sumuranja Yard
Directs : Discipline Engineers

1. Basic Function :
To provide of Construction Engineering services in the Sumuranja Yard and/or Project work site(s) to serve fabrication, installation, construction, load-out, hook-up, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
2. Specific Reporting Responsibilities :
To ensure the Construction Engineering activities be performed according to planning and existent procedures and policies. Lead Construction Engineer shall reports to E & PP Manager on a day to day basis.
3. Specific Duties & Responsibilities.
(a) Monitor, coordinate and control sub-ordinates at Construction Engineering Section and ensure that Construction Engineering activities are fully compliance and conforming to procedures and/or the contract requirements.
(b) In the direction of the E & PP Manager is to ensure that all requirement of Construction Engineering services executing and monitoring based on the contract and/or specifications are provided in due time.
(c) Provide Methods Statement / General Procedure for each project base on the contract and/or specifications.
(d) Provide the specific Procedures as required for each project base on the contract or specifications.
(e) Provide the analysis design & calculation, construction Aid design, load out and sea fastening at construction stages.
(f) Prepare technical requirements of each request of service and material.
(g) Communicate with other departmental and client to gather and disseminate information in relation to all engineering activities.
(h) Advise the E & PP Manager upon finding discrepancies of contract’s scope.
(i) Approval of shop drawings after review by the Discipline Engineer.
4. Specific Skill.
a) Familiar to read and understand Company Specification and Procedures.
b) Familiar to read and understand International Codes and Standard
c) Familiar to read and understand International Grade, Size and Standard of Materials.
d) Familiar to read and understand output run from STAAD-Pro and SACS program.
e) Familiar to read and understand output run from Maxurf pro & Hydromax for barge stability Analysis and MOSES program for Stability and Hydrodynamic Analysis.
f) Familiar to operate latest version of Auto Cad 2D and 3D.
Authority :
The position of Construction Engineer shall have the authority of the Lead Construction Engineer and E&PP Manager to act and make decisions as defined by the procedures of the company and the responsibility above.
